Welcome to the Official Life Bridges Inc International website. If you like what you see, you can become a part of the bridge by contributing to the progress of the work. You will find our mission, history of our work, and part of the work in pictures. You can feel our heart because we know what we are talking about. We have been conversant with both worlds: a world of needs, and a world of abundance. We have come across people rich in the faith of our Lord Jesus, but with very scanty provision of this world's goods, and people rich in this world's goods but poor in the eternal stores. We labored as missionary educators in Watts, Los Angeles for seven years and now the Lord has expanded our focus to include the ripen fields of Africa. Take a look around the website.

OUR MISSION

Life Bridges Inc. is a Public Charity (non-profit) organization geared towards motivating and empowering school-age children in America and Africa to learn and develop citizenship values for a better society.

PROJECTS

ANTICIPATED PROJECTS

Breakfast for school children in our Nigerian schools , many of whom are under-nourished:

Provision of breakfast for the under-nourished children in the Nigerian schools in which Life Bridges is operating
We estimate that about $100 (one hundred dollars) will feed 5 students breakfast for one month!

Vegetable Gardens:

We will encourage students in our Nigerian schools to Plant vegetable gardens to help supplement their food supply. Most of our schools have land available for this project. Teachers will supervise the students and teach them how to do the work need. We anticipate beginning this project in the next planting season which begins in ( ).
We estimate the cost of these pilot projects will be about $500.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Production and distribution of The Flower Book of Virtues

We plan to produce and distribute 5000 to 8000 of these booklets ( pages) in California and Nigeria in the next two years.

Motivational Meetings

We have monthly meetings in some California schools, where allowed, to motivate students to excellence in character, life skills and academics. This same work is carried on also our schools in Nigeria.
We do one-to-one mentoring of students to help them in their personal growth in Character, life skills, and academic achievement

Distribution of books and sports equipment

We collect donated books and sports equipment for distribution to needy schools in Nigeria.

Consulting, training and mentoring:

We provide free consultation to school administrators and teachers in many Nigerian schools and help in opening new schools and administering existing ones in order to effectively raise the spiritual and academic levels of their students.
We provide training, continuing education and mentoring for teachers.

Missionary Trips to Nigeria

We go to Nigeria twice a year in order to carry out the above mentioned activities and provide on-site supervision of the work of Life Bridges.

Raising Support:

We want to recruit people who will help us in our objectives.
We need to raise financial support from individuals as well as companies who would share our vision.

Founders

Dr. Okon Tom Udo

Dr. Okon Tom Udo and Mrs. Victoria Udo, founders of Life Bridges Inc., bring decades of experience and passion to education and youth outreach. They began their journey in 1997, driven by a calling to make a difference in the lives of young people worldwide.

Over 32 years in teaching and educational leadership.

Formerly with Chevron Oil Company for 7 years.

Doctorate in Petroleum Geochemistry.

Dedicated minister since 1975.

Known for inspiring generations of students in high schools and universities.

Mrs. Victoria Udo

Mrs. Victoria Udo brings over 20 years of teaching and school administration experience. She is an Educational Consultant & Motivational Speaker and the author of four acclaimed books, including "The Flower Book Of Virtues." Mrs. Udo is renowned for her educational advocacy and motivational speaking across continents.

Emigrated to the United States in 1990. Served as missionaries with World Impact Inc. for 7 years. Founded Life Bridges to empower educators and establish Christian schools in Africa. Established Redemption Academy in Uyo, Nigeria in 2004. Active in Kern County High School District, California, promoting character education.

Trained hundreds of principals and teachers across Africa.

Advocates for improved conditions in African schools, including nutrition and educational resources.

Inspiration in Watts

Life Bridges began with a profound observation in Watts, where the innocence of children sparked a vision of patriotism and service.

Inspired by American ideals of volunteerism, the Udo family embarked on sponsoring transformative trips to Africa, introducing the ARISE program.

Philosophy of Service

From these beginnings, Life Bridges evolved into a philosophy of loving one's country and fostering community from the grassroots.

Starting with Christian education at Watts Christian School, our mission expanded to support the establishment of Christian schools across Africa.

Bridging Cultures

Today, we continue to bridge cultures and practices between America and Africa.

With invaluable support from Mr. David Schaad, Life Bridges was formally registered as a Public Charity (Non-profit), marking a new chapter in our commitment to righteous leadership and global service.

Brief History

The Work Thus Far

Foundation in 1997

In 1997, Life Bridges received its EIN number.

That same year, Mrs. Udo began mission trips to African countries, starting in Nigeria to gather a team.

Funding initially came solely from personal accounts with support from friends in both the United States and Nigeria.

Trips focused on training teachers, administrators, and school principals using a Christian worldview.

Mrs. Udo donated books and game equipment to numerous schools, aiming to provide opportunities to children who might not otherwise have access.

Empowering Educators

Life Bridges has made more than 30 trips to various African countries.

They share insights with educators on nurturing godly children who excel in both academic study and ethical living.

Life Bridges played a pivotal role in establishing Christian schools in Africa.

Introduced the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) to Nigeria, fostering ongoing collaboration.

Impact in the United States

Life Bridges focuses on instilling core values in American schoolchildren.

Emphasis on character development through mentoring, Christian group meetings, motivational speeches, and distributing "The Flower Book of Virtues."

Continued efforts to support African communities by providing essential resources.
